Douglas Smith is a Canadian-American actor portraying Marcus Isaacson in the TNT original drama The Alienist.

TNT Cast BiographyEdit

Douglas Smith will soon be seen in Cary Fukunaga's upcoming TNT series The Alienist. He is a Canadian-American actor who most recently starred in Stacy Title’s hit horror film The Bye Bye Man and had a supporting role in FilmNation's Miss Sloane opposite Jessica Chastain. A native of Toronto, Smith has been acting since fourth grade. He first broke onto the silver screen playing a child version of Brendan Fraser in 1999’s Blast from the Past. Since then, he has recurred on the first season of Martin Scorsese's Vinyl and played a supporting role in the blockbuster Terminator Genisys. He also recently starred in the independent projects Evan's Crime and Bottom of the World, opposite Jena Malone. His extensive film resume includes leads in the Blumhouse/Universal feature Ouija; Fox 2000's Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, opposite Logan Lerman; Brandon Cronenberg’s Antiviral, which premiered at Cannes; Analeine Cal y Mayor's Treading Water; and Jerome Sable's Stage Fright. He is perhaps best known, however, for his role as Ben Henrickson on HBO’s critically acclaimed show Big Love, starring Bill Paxton and Jeanne Tripplehorn. [1]
